Kannawidan Ylocos Festival, a festival in the Province of Ilocos Sur commemorating the separation of the two Ilocos provinces in 1818 which showcasing the indigenous performances, religious rituals, as well cooking demos featuring the best of Ilocano dishes and a tradition. During the opening of the festival, there is usually a mass held at the St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral. Many activities were done as they welcome the said festival making it significant to people because they had the chance to showcase and improve their hidden talents, beauties and creativities.
I can say that that was indeed one of my best days in this year 2023. I, therefore conclude that this festival is a treasure we should keep because of its significance to everyone's lives as it has so much to offer to people. They bring people together and create a sense of belonging in the community. They unite people as they come together for the sole purpose of celebration and happiness. I am thankful because I had the chance to attend festivals like this.

There was a parade where you can see a smile plastered in everyone's face as they laugh and talk to one another. I also saw some of my friends, acquaintances and even my teachers in Ilocos Sur National High School. One of my favorite is the pageant of women with towering heights, mesmerizing beauties and vibrant personalities. They also introduced those women in LGBTQ+ community.
Because of this pageant, they had the chance to boost their confidence. The night of January 28, Ilocos Sur Cannawidan festival theme song was first heard and the new Ilocos Sur Canniwidan festival logo was first seen by ours personally and virtually, those who were watching the live. Moreover, we saw GMA celebrity artists specifically Andrea Torres and Ken Chan.
Lastly, but not the least is the fireworks. Up until now, I actually don't know how to put what I was feeling into words as I was speechless upon seeing how each of them shone brightly in the dark sky, and how their vibrant colors made everyone look up to it and enjoyed the very beautiful view. I think no words can give justice to how beautiful the fireworks were that night.
